Jesse and his family arrived in Gloucester in the summer of 2024 after spending the previous decade serving as a pastor in Canada. When he's not working or studying, you can often find Jesse and his family playing music, biking or kayaking, or at the beach.
Jesse holds a BA in English from Regent University, an M.Ed. from Regent University, a Master's degree in Theology from McMaster Divinity College, and is currently a PhD candidate at McMaster Divinity College. His academic work reflects his interests in phenomenology, liturgical theology, and secularization theory.
John has been a life-long musician and has worked in churches since 1990. Raised in the Episcopal Church at the Cathedral Church of St. Mark in Minneapolis, he loved fine organ and choral music from a very young age. As a clarinetist, John took two years of music education after high school and also a year enrolled at the Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore. He played clarinet, saxophone and keyboards in the National Guard and Army Bands for 27 years. His service locations included an assignment with a multi-national band in Belgium, which toured to several European countries.
John joined local churches near his duty assignments, continuing his music ministry. After marrying Caroline in 1994, she worked alongside of him by leading children’s choirs. Following his retirement from the Army in 2004, he completed a Bachelor of Music in organ performance at Old Dominion University, graduating in 2010. After a total of 25 years of organist and choirmaster positions, John joined Grace on Main in 2018, where he has been happy to lead the Ensemble, Women’s Choir, and the Sanctuary Choir.
The highlights at GCPC have included two Christmas Cantatas with orchestra and playing clarinet with a visiting Dixieland Band one summer. John always feels that the music should be a worship experience that reflects our spiritual lives in and outside of the church.

Beginning of 2022, Michele received the call to serve in His church when Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church needed a new treasurer.
Michele enjoys reading about American History and the Founding Fathers of our country, modern Physics; she loves gardening, cooking, and all above their furry child, Einin.
After years of running my own sewing business, I stepped off the ladder and into the world of computers here at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church in 2015. I am an alum of James Madison University, with a B.S. in Home Economics.
Jessica, her husband, Matt, and children Ben (13), and Katy (12) moved to Gloucester when Matt took a position with the Virginia Institute of Marine Science in 2013. Jessica is a 2010 graduate of the University of Virginia with a degree in Religious Studies. Since then, she has been a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom to her two children. During that time, she also taught various classes, including Bible and Theology, at the homeschool co-op the family attends for 7 years. Jessica has a passion for teaching children about the word of God and loves to find ways to incorporate the whole Bible story into each shorter story. She seeks to lead them beyond surface-level understanding and believes children should be exposed to theologically rich concepts and ideas. When working with middle and high schoolers, Jessica seeks to encourage the youth to be intentional in their walk with God and the way they live their lives in the world. For her, walking into Grace on Main each week is like walking into a home filled with family.
I moved "back home" to Gloucester in 2020 with my husband Jesse and our 4 children. We found Grace Covenant in 2022, and instantly felt at home and lead to become a deeper part of the church. Children have always been a major part of my life, with 23 years experience caring for children, and helping them grow and learn - I am looking forward to sharing Jesus' love and light with our Raising Grace & Youth on Main Families!
My family enjoys learning about homesteading, helping family and friends, spending time with our dogs, cats, chickens, and goats. As well as try to squeeze in as many field trips as our homeschool schedule will allow!
